Key Responsibilities:
The Product Analyst - Cybersecurity is responsible for supporting the conception, development, and management of digital products with a strong emphasis on security and privacy. This role involves implementing cutting-edge security features, ensuring alignment to international data protection laws, and balancing the needs of United’s business with robust security measures. The individual will be engaged throughout a product’s lifecycle with a focus on customer identity and data privacy, from initial idea to launch and subsequent updates, while fostering a culture of world class digital products in partnership with our customer facing channel teams.
The role requires staying informed about the latest technological and regulatory developments in cybersecurity to preemptively address potential product vulnerabilities. The Product Analyst - Cybersecurity will work with relevant stakeholders to ensure a unified understanding of a product roadmap and security impact. This role collaborates closely with legal, engineering, analytics, architecture, and fraud teams to drive forward-thinking solutions.
The Product Analyst - Cybersecurity is integral to the strategic direction and successful execution of both privacy and cybersecurity initiatives within the organization.
- Works within team and collaborate with partners to support the delivery of new features focused on customer identity and privacy
- Writes clear and concise requirements for designers and developers including business requirements documents, epics, user stories, feature roadmaps, and root cause analysis reports
- Manages multiple projects and seeks leadership support on prioritization feedback where necessary
- Proactively researches technologies, solutions, regulations, and benchmarks; sharing findings with leader and team. Suggests improvements (technical, functional or process) within their workstream
- Takes on additional specialized cybersecurity tasks with moderate level of guidance and direction
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Deep understanding of product management, managing product backlog, and agile scrum teams
- Good communication skills around requirements, features, error states, and user experience
- Able to analyze data to drive decisions and problem-solve
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, interpersonal, collaboration, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate and diagnose problems in a way that is understandable by non-technical audiences and actionable by technical team members
- Comfortable with identifying gaps or issues and presenting solutions to resolve issues
- Demonstrable ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a dynamic environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

- Engineering, Business or Analytics background
- Familiar with Identity and Access Management (IAM or CIAM), Jira, Agile, Cybersecurity, and/or market research
