Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Configuration Management Specialist. The Configuration Management Specialist develops and administers Configuration Management Plans, policies, and procedures to maintain stability of system and software baselines in support of applications development and operations. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing team in the early stages of a recently awarded 5-year task order with multiple opportunities for upward advancement supporting EW&C. The EW&C program delivers critical capabilities to counter current and future threats, enabling the next generation of warfighting capabilities from sensor to Soldier worldwide. By applying game changing cyber technologies through agile development methodology, we enable battlefield dominance for our Warfighters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Work closely with program management, engineering, test & evaluation, cybersecurity and logistics in a fast pace DevSecOps environment.
  • Preparation of technical documentation within the program office.
  • Supports the development of CM policies, plans, and procedures for a large software intensive.
  • Creates, manages, and processes product distributions of hardware and software platforms, beta releases, patches and documentation.
  • Participates in configuration audits, and fielding activities of software products to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of the software baseline for each system.
  • Performs software management, CM process and procedure audits, baseline identification, and preparation and control of product documentation.
  • Supports prime vendor in developing and implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Facilitates the Configuration Control Board (CCB), coordinates change requests (CR), and validates CR requests.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Hands-on experience implementing CM policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with audit system change procedures, and system-level documentation to verify compliance with established CM plans and procedures.
  • Experience with managing change control of Configuration items. Change controls include participating in review boards, processing change proposals, and CCBs.
  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Jira and Confluence.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of related work experience

       Clearance:

  • Must have an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI

       Desired Requirements       

  • Experience with Agile/SAFe development methodologies

       Other Qualifications

  • The ability to work within office/field/lab environments
  • Ability to travel 30%
