Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition:

  • Assist with applicant tracking system (ATS) tasks including posting requisitions, contacting candidates, and dispositioning
  • Assist in managing the interview and hiring process for both external and internal candidates, including drug screenings
  • Build UAC�s brand with potential candidates, ensuring compliance with DOL and OFCCP requirements
  • Support communication with supervisors to present and review candidates
  • Attend job/career fairs with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to generate qualified applicants
  • Oversee new hire onboarding tasks for Kansas employees in Paylocity
  • Compile data for the Talent Acquisition dashboard

Onboarding:

  • Ensure preparation and setup for bi-weekly New Employee Orientation
  • Create and provide Predictive Index (PI) report kits for hiring managers
  • Manage New Employee Orientation surveys and work to improve retention through best practices
  • Complete e-verification process on all new hires; including verification of I-9 documents

Benefits:

  • Reconcile benefit-related reports and invoices, and track new hire benefits including reminders
  • Respond to Medical Support Orders
  • Back-up responsibility for Web-Benefit approvals
  • Assist with Annual Open Enrollment

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Provide regular reporting on performance reviews (BIG 5), attendance, and other HR metrics to leadership
  • Pull data for required reports (Affirmative Action Plans, EEO-1, VETS-4212) and provide quarterly/year-end ESG HR data
  • Conduct I-9 audits, maintain job descriptions, form number audit and maintenance, and ensure compliance with ITAR requirements
  • Process separation notices for terminated employees

Payroll:

  • Track Employee Referral Bonus and submit to payroll weekly

General Employee Support:

  • Oversee uniform process and reconcile monthly audit/invoices
  • POC for all uniform related inquiries; liaison between employee/vendor
  • Assist employees with Paylocity (HCMS) issues and general Tier 1 level HR inquiries
  • Organize employee appreciation events, community events including newsletters and company announcements
  • Responsible for organization/maintenance of HR shared folder
  • Support and organize onsite field trips with CCSD
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor�s degree in related field, or equivalent related work experience
  • Minimum Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

Working Conditions

  • Office environment; Monday � Friday
  • Some employee events or meetings may take place during 2nd or 3rd shift or on a weekend day
  • At times, may conduct work in one of the production mills or warehouse; PPE is required.

Safety

All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Employee must understand the PPE and wear it properly.
