The Role
As a Staff Data Scientist at AiDASH, you will play a critical role in designing, training, and optimizing AI model architectures that leverage multiple modalities, including visual images, LiDAR, and other data sources. Your work will focus on applying cutting-edge techniques in computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to solve complex real-world problems, while ensuring these models are scalable and deployable in production environments.
How you'll make an impact:
Design, train, and optimize AI model architectures optimal for the application under consideration, using visual images, lidar and other different modalities
Deep understanding and experience with Convolutional Neural Networks, Vision Transformers, Self-Supervised and Contrastive Learning, Foundation Models, Generative Models, Diffusion Models, and Graph Neural Networks (GNNs)
Collaborate with software engineers to deploy models into production pipelines and APIs
Conduct research and stay updated on state-of-the-art advancements in Computer Vision and AI
Use MLOps best practices to track experiments, version datasets, and optimize training pipelines
What we're looking for:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in data science with proven track record of delivering high value projects
Strong understanding of modern Computer Vision techniques, including feature extraction, object detection, segmentation, and multi-view geometry
Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
Experience working with large-scale visual datasets and pre-processing pipelines
Familiarity with GPU acceleration (CUDA, TensorRT) and optimizing models for real-time inference
Knowledge of MLOps tools (MLflow, Weights & Biases) for managing training and deployment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work in a collaborative environment
Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with 3D Computer Vision, LiDAR processing, or multi-modal AI
Hands-on experience with generative models, contrastive learning, and neural rendering
Exposure to transformer-based architectures and masked autoencoders
Knowledge of cloud-based AI deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

We offer a competitive base pay range for this full-time position, which is between $190,000 and $230,000 per year. This range reflects the anticipated base salary for new hires.
