Role Purpose Statement

The Senior Project Manager takes charge of overseeing all aspects of project management, ensuring seamless daily operations. This role involves developing comprehensive project execution plans, resolving challenges in planning and implementation, monitoring progress and budgets, and leading projects from initiation to successful completion.
*This positions support the Finance and Procurement team in managing assigned projects but will be reporting in the EPMO business unit.
 

Main Accountabilities

Project Management 

  • Drive the planning, execution, and successful delivery of Finance and Procurement projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Define and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables in close collaboration with senior leadership and key stakeholders, aligning initiatives with strategic business goals.
  • Oversee project-related deliverables, fostering proactive engagement and responsiveness from all stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards outlined in the Statement of Work.
  • Anticipate, identify, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies through innovative problem-solving and strategic action.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, providing clear, actionable updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Lead the development, management, and reporting of project financials, ensuring fiscal discipline and transparency.
  • Create and support Enterprise PMO dashboards and forecasts at the corporate level, including detailed financial variance updates for Finance and Procurement projects.
  • Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to achieve project objectives.
  • Partner with Change Management Subject Matter Experts to ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and comprehensive.
  • Plan, track, manage, and report on the full lifecycle of assigned projects, driving accountability and results.
  • Deliver consistent status updates to sponsors, stakeholders, and executives, fostering alignment and informed decision-making.
  • Conduct and document lessons learned from completed projects, leveraging insights to enhance future initiatives within the portfolio.
  • Support the tracking of costs and actuals associated with the Compliance Program, ensuring financial accuracy and accountability.
  • Apply and uphold project methodologies and standards, ensuring consistency and excellence across all initiatives.
  • Actively contribute to PMO standardization efforts, enhancing operational efficiency and strategic alignment across the organization.
  • Promote, communicate & implement Enterprise PMO toolkit (methodologies, processes) for all Finance and Procurement Projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management or related field required with focus on finance/procurement
  • Deep knowledge on finance core principles and accounting rules to be able to effectively manage and lead finance related projects.
  • Seven to Ten years of direct work experience in project management required
  • Project management certification (PMI or PMP) strongly desired
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, as well as people, risk and change management
  • Proficient in project management techniques, tools / software  and MS Office
  • Multi-disciplinary experience (Finance, Operations, Manufacturing)
  • Good communication and presentation skills, ability to interact at senior levels
  • Must be based in the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area
  • Coding experience in python is preferred but not mandatory.
