SENIOR DIRECTOR OF SAFETY SECURITY AT PRIMEFLIGHT
The Senior Director of Safety, Security will spearhead the development, implementation, and management of the Company’s safety, and security programs to ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, EPA, TSA, CBP, FAA, and DOT statutes, regulations, and policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct engagement, commitment, leadership, and continuous improvement within the support team to achieve excellence in safety and compliance through documented and measurable standards and employee education
- Evaluate and modify programs and materials on a regular basis to ensure effectiveness and continued compliance with all applicable statutes, regulations, and policies
- Provide guidance to staff and monitor system to ensure understanding and implementation and compliance with all policies, requirements, and procedures
- Develop reports to quantifiably measure historical performance in safety and compliance and utilize results to institute improvement initiatives
- Design and continuously improve upon internal inspection and audit programs to effectively steer the organization
- Liaise with insurers for claims involving Auto or Aircraft damage
- Execute annual OSHA reporting and establish a framework for BLS reporting
- Work collaboratively and urgently with stakeholders to correct any deficiencies
- Maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external customers
- Establish an annual expense budget for organizational component
- Be an approachable representative of the team, consistently embodying the core values of PrimeFlight
- May be assigned other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Associates degree (Bachelor’s preferred). High School Diploma or equivalent may be substituted with 15 or more years related experience in operations management to include training and/or compliance management
- Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations
- Experience with program design
- Commitment to safety, with a working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, TSA, CBP, FAA, and DOT regulations
- Experience leading large units (>500 preferred) and multiple worksites
- Technical writing experience or courseware development preferred
- Aviation experience required
- Experience in the recognition, development, and implementation of process improvement opportunities
- Ability to work in office, onsite, Monday-Friday
- Advanced computer skills including the use of Windows and the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means

- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
- Must be flexible to work extended hours on occasion to support our field operations
- Frequent travel required
