Key Responsibilities\:
This Senior Manager of Engine Supplier Management & Maintenance Strategy leads a team of analysts, program managers, and/or lead program managers in handling engine, APU, component, and piece-part maintenance accomplished by outside suppliers, including engine OEMs such as CFM, GE, IAE, Rolls-Royce, and Pratt & Whitney. This role is also responsible for developing and leading engine, APU, component, and piece-part maintenance strategy (near and long-term). This role has extensive cross-functional visibility, including with engine asset management, global procurement, finance, engineering, and quality. Responsible to develop, oversee and present projects to internal and supplier executives.
- Oversee engine and APU maintenance spend associated with repair orders and contracts between the Company and its suppliers
- Develop and lead maintenance strategy (near and long term) in collaboration with stakeholders by forecasting maintenance, designing RFPs, developing maintenance contracts, and evaluating spare needs
- Champion engine maintenance and supply chain projects by leading or supporting cross-functional teams that may include engineering, global sourcing, finance, supply chain, quality, and line maintenance
- Coordinate with quality and engineering to ensure suppliers follow Company maintenance requirements
- Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate business review meetings with key suppliers
- Coordinate with fleet management on aircraft fleet strategy to ensure optimal use of engine assets
