Job description and responsibilities

The Senior mobile application developer will collaborate with the eCommerce team and IT to develop, program, and test various projects applying the latest mobile technologies.

In this role, the individual will design, develop, document, test, and debug the application. They will work with innovative technologies and enterprise-grade integration software daily and will be instrumental in advancing the customer mobile app to a higher technological standard. Additionally, the individual will have a strong understanding of our customers' needs and how emerging technologies can enhance the overall customer experience.

  • Manages and participates in the full development life cycle, including concept, design, build, deployment, testing, release to app stores, and support
  • Offer technical insights on current mobile platforms to enhance performance, availability, and utilization optimizations
  • Support, maintain, and document functionality
  • Conduct research and development to assess emerging technologies and their potential to enhance the platform
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement third-party software as necessary
  • Apply source control and bug-tracking systems effectively
  • Review estimates for software development and delivery to ensure they meet quality and accuracy standards
  • Perform unit testing on code to ensure robustness, including testing for edge cases, usability, and overall reliability
  • Manages and participates in design meetings, analyzing user needs to determine technical requirements
  • Collaborates with and leads tech teams consisting of employees and contractor personnel from vendor companies in planning and execution, serving as a technology leader
  • Collaborate with the eCommerce Innovation and IT teams to test and refine developed software and programs
  • Prepare projects for hand-off and deployment as proof of concepts transition to production
  • Develop the ability to quickly adapt to changes and learn from field testing

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in design, development, documenting, testing, and debugging of new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use in an agile environment
  • 4+ years of experience in application design, development, installation and modification of software required
  • 2+ years of experience with iPhone and/or Android development platforms
  • Experience developing native iOS Apps\: Objective-C, iOS SDK, and XCODE
  • Experience developing native Android Apps\: Java, Android SDK and Android Studio
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
