Description

Essential functions/ Key responsibilities 

  1. Oversees daily operations of office.
  2. Train new employees.
  3. Posts daily assignment schedules
  4. Ensure that employees are properly dressed for duty.
  5. Supervises the issuance of ID badges, keys, parking decals and ramp permits in accordance with the established Airport Security Program and FAA rules and regulations. 
  6. Resolves ID badging, key and permit complaints while complying with Airport and FAA security regulations and budgetary mandates. 
  7. Administers and maintains automated and physical security record systems for security badges and keys in accordance with established Airport rules and procedures and other Security Programs. 
  8. Oversees and trains staff to conduct FAA background investigations. 
  9. Provides daily activity reports of reported incidents and inconsistencies to Airport security. 
  10. Reports audit findings and prepares special studies and projects based on FAA reviews. 
  11. Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position. 

Qualifications

  • Must be a local (in-state) resident. 
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. 
  • Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 
  • Must complete SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security. 

Education: 

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred. 

Experience: 

  • Minimum two + (2) years of relevant experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Able to communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment. 
  • Able to communicate effectively in a professional manner.
