Required

  • Minimum 7 – 10 years software development experience with front-end and .NET technologies in enterprise systems with high availability and performance requirements.
  • Solid React, Javascript, .NET core, CI/CD, SQL background
  • Hands on experience with foundational AWS Services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudFront, Lambda, EKS, ECS, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Understanding of serverless technologies, services and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc.)

Preferred

  • Master's degree
  • Experience in a retail environment a plus

  • Will prioritize candidates local to Chicago area first. This is a hybrid role and requires some onsite as needed—also open to relocation.

Job description and responsibilities

Contribute to the development of multi-year plans in alignment with business and IT strategy. Provide industry-leading thought leadership - and facilitate development of strategies across multiple subject areas/domains. Facilitate development of architecture patterns and standards. . Lead enterprise architecture models and repositories. Establish communities of practice in areas of expertise. Coach and mentor other IT staff in area of expertise.

  • Architecture Planning
  • Provides an enterprise-wide perspective within the United IT division
  • Leads architecture strategy & planning for large programs - and provides guidance to technical staff across multiple projects
