About the team you are joining

Reporting to the Regional Head Distribution and Payment – Africa and the Middle East, you will be the Subject Matter Expert who Is responsible for the cluster delivery of the FSDS Strategy as well as the IATA Settlement Systems (ISS) Management and Governance Support within the cluster 

What your day would be like

Financial Settlement and Distribution Services (FSDS) Transformation
•Support the delivery of the FSDS Global Transformational strategy across cluster office/s
•Bring airlines & industry partners up to speed with all FSDS initiatives & provide them with all  the means to save, improve, innovate and sustain its business and financial health, thus making it easier for the industry to do business with both customers and partners;
•Work together  with Account managers & FSDS team to ensure alignment and  smooth implementation of new projects with a customer centric approach.
•Deliver cluster campaigns: engage with cluster targeted stakeholders to  either raise awareness or collect feedback to develop best practices
•Run cluster educational workshops for airlines & travel agents’ community to raise awareness, promote  FSDS programs and improve customer experience & success
•Establish strong relationship & trust with industry partners across cluster/s

Financial Settlement and Distribution Services (FSDS) Cluster IATA Settlement Systems (ISS) Management and Governance Support
•In collaboration with Country Managers, build and maintain strong customer stakeholder management with airlines, travel agents and forwarders regarding IATA’s financial and distribution services;
•Manage local IATA Settlement Systems (ISS) governance groups (APJC, LFCAG, LCC, etc.) in collaboration with the regional Subject Matter Expert for Financial and Distribution Services to adopt effective risk management rules for members’ funds: forecast ISS market trends and risks, respond quickly and effectively to any market issues and escalations which may put members’ funds at risk
•Managing expansions projects in collaboration with the project team and different divisions at local, regional and central levels by contributing effectively  to the entire project lifecycle

Financial Settlement and Distribution Services (FSDS) Commercial Support
•Collaborate with the commercial team to support delivering the FSDS Products portfolio across the region as well as identify innovative new product development opportunities that would best suit the needs of the region, enabling industry value and income to IATA.

Team Work and Expert Knowledge
•Provide insightful quantitative & qualitative analysis to influence global FSDS strategy &  reflect regional needs in the strategy
•Partner with regional Subject Matter Experts to ensure a constant upskilling and regional capacity building;
•Provide timely reports to the Account Manager and Regional Head of distribution and payments regarding progress of work of the set objectives
•Maintain a proactive relationship with Subject Matter Experts at Headquarter level where applicable and benefit from expert guidance;
•Support fostering a culture of inclusion, integrity, team spirit, strategic thinking, partnering, innovative pioneering and acting with a human touch
Collaborate with and support the Team in an agile way;


We would love to hear from you if


•Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or any other relevant discipline,
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in the aviation and/or travel industry, particularly in distribution and travel retail environment;
•Working knowledge of IATA Agency Programme and IATA Settlement Systems (ISS) ;
•Customer-centered mindset in professional interactions.
•Excellent communication skills; ability to deal with a wide range of clients and professionally address any level of management;
•Fluency in English (CEFR: C1), Arabic and French-French is mandatory
