As an Event Operations Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting Pivotal marketing events. These events range from major airshows to smaller private events hosted by the company. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including packing and driving a truck to transport equipment to venues; assisting with aircraft, ground operations, and booth setup; meeting with customers at events to share your passion for Pivotal aircraft; and maintaining equipment, tools and charging systems. This position requires physical activity, excellent communication, planning skills, and a love of aviation.

Responsibilities

    • Assure readiness of aircraft, demo equipment, and marketing material in advance of selected events
    • Customize packing lists in accordance with the needs of each event
    • Transport aircraft equipment and materials to venues primarily for external marketing events, and, as available, for internal flight operations and training
    • Assist with aircraft packing, unpacking, assembly, charging, and disassembly as well as both setup and teardown for events
    • Collaborate with the flight operations, marketing, and maintenance teams to ensure efficient and smooth execution of all tasks
    • Execute customer-level and operational-level maintenance procedures to keep aircraft airworthy and available for flight in compliance with FAA Part 103 regulations
    • Collaborate with the maintenance and repair team to ensure efficient and smooth diagnostics and repair of any aircraft issues
    • Meet with customers at events to convey the value of Pivotal aircraft, learn about their needs, and develop their interest in becoming customers
    • Manage vehicle rentals and returns when necessary
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace at Pivotal HQ, including vehicles, equipment, and storage areas

Qualifications

    • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems including cars, bicycles, aircraft, or other types of vehicle maintenance
    • Experience driving pickup trucks, panel trucks, and pulling trailers (typically 16โ€™ cargo trailers)
    • Experience with live event operations or a related field
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
    • Ability to solve problems proactively, escalate concerns, and request assistance when needed
    • Flexibility to work a full-time schedule with weekend and evening availability
    • Ability to travel outside the Bay Area for up to a week at a time
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Bonus Qualifications

    • 3-5 years experience in a customer service and customer-facing role
    • Class A drivers license
    • Experience in a logistics and or fleet management role
    • Experience in aviation ground handling
    • Proficiency in communicating on aviation radio frequencies and aviation terminology
    • Experience in aircraft maintenance, including an FAA Part 135 or A&P certificate

$36.50 - $42.26 an hour
