1. Contract Development & Negotiation
Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts with vendors, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
Develop agreements covering statements of work (SOW), pricing, delivery schedules, and performance metrics.
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies during contract structuring.
Collaborate with legal teams to address contractual complexities.
Create and modify contract language to implement agreements with customers, partners, and subcontractors.
7. Contract Administration & Compliance
Monitor contract performance, ensuring adherence to agreed terms and addressing any deviations.
Manage contract modifications, amendments, and change orders as needed.
Conduct performance evaluations of vendors regarding quality, cost efficiency, and timeliness.
Ensure compliance with government procurement policies and maintain detailed records for audit purposes.
Oversee subcontracts and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
13. Risk Management & Dispute Resolution
Identify and mitigate risks such as cost overruns, schedule delays, and non-compliance issues.
Resolve contract disputes and claims through effective negotiation and communication.
Ensure contract activities align with Intellectual Property (IP) protections and security measures.
17. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Collaborate with Contracting Officers, program managers, sales teams, and executive management to align contract requirements with business objectives.
Maintain strong vendor relationships and facilitate open communication.
Provide regular contract status updates to senior leadership.
21. Procurement & Market Research
Conduct market research to identify qualified vendors and assess capabilities.
Manage competitive bidding processes, including evaluating proposals and selecting vendors.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of federal government contracting requirements and procurement processes.
Experience managing Intellectual Property (IP) rights, contract liabilities, and indemnifications.
Demonstrates negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in contract management software and ERP systems.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
